Met WEIB laten vrouwen een tegengeluid horen..........

Wie de opening van de expositie Weib op 5 maart gemist heeft kan die nog gaan zien tot 26 maart. Het was een echte happening. Zo bijzonder, 11 vrouwen, heel verschillend allemaal en de galerie was vol met mensen. Er was enthousiasme, muziek, drankjes, goede gesprekken................ Ik laat een paar werken zien maar er is veel meer te zien in de galerie.

I'm a little late with this but life is hectic at the moment. The opening of Weib expo was a beautiful happening with nice people, lovely music, some deep conversations and ofcourse lots of interesting art. I show some pictures. The expo is opened till march 26......................

De laatste loodjes, ahum.............steekjes..........

Hier ben ik bezig met de laatste steekjes aan de reparatie van de Goddess Cloth, zoals altijd met mijn vriendinnetje Venus die kritisch toeziet. Ik leer nog altijd hiervan, bv. Ik weet inmiddels dat motten niet enkel van wol houden maar speciaal van plant geverfde of geprinte wol. En ze zijn vooral dol op prints van eucalyptus op wol, maar in geval van nood eten ze ook prints op zijde.
Woensdag gaat dit kleed naar de expositie waar zondag 5 maart de opening is.
Jullie zijn allemaal hartelijk uitgenodigd.
This is the repair of the Goddess Cloth............Venus approves........I learned a lot about moths, might call myselfe a mothpro meanwhile. They love wool as we all know but espacially plant dyed or printed wool. And best of all............eucalyptus. After this cloth comes back from the expo i have a present for them. I prepared myself for the next summer, will tell you about it.................

Weib

Ik ben uitgenodigd om deel te nemen aan een expositie met een groep kunstenaars in
VM 23 ART in Arnhem. De initiatiefneemster hiervan is Monica Croese wier werk ik al langer ken en zeer bewonder. De andere kunstenaars ken ik allemaal niet dus dit wordt om diverse redenen heel interessant. Ik kijk er erg naar uit. Vooral ook om mijn Godinnenkleed te laten zien.
I have several reasons to look forward to this expo next month in Arnhem. The most important for me is to show the Goddess Cloth and secondly i'm going to meet Monica Croese, the initiator of this show. I know her work for years but we never met. As David died she made his portret for me which i really love and now we're finally going to meet.

The moon and I............

Het begon eigenlijk vanzelf, jaren geleden, mijn werken met de fases van de maan. Tot het me opviel en ik het bewust ging doen. Iets nieuws beginnen met nieuwe maan en met volle maan iets afmaken.
Deze volle maan is dit nieuwe Godinnenkleed niet afgekomen, maar wel de basis,  en daar ben ik blij mee.


I like working with the phases of the moon. Starting something with the new moon and finishing something at the full moon.
This new Goddess cloth is only in the beginning but i finished the base...........
